It’s all about synergy. And philanthropy. Negros-born, New York-based designer Rafē Totengco has teamed up with Team Manila to produce a limited edition T-shirt for a cause, as seen above. Part of the proceeds will benefit the Tapulanga Foundation, a non-profit, charitable organization providing scholarships for students of St. Francis of Assisi School in Silay City, Negros Occidental. At Php 1,500 (or USD 35 from http://www.tapulanga.org for US citizens), it may be a little more than what you usually shell out for a tee. But if you have the cash to spare, then go ahead and spend part of that Christmas bonus on this shirt – in support of great local talent and a good cause. And besides, it can make for a good conversation piece at your office Christmas party.
